We are so happy Wanda is on our team here at Shiretown.

I would like to tell you about a CCA who works at Shiretown Nursing Home who gives up her own time to assist residents. Wanda MacNeil is a long time employee who cares very deeply for her residents. Most recently our recreation program set up a photo shoot for residents beside the Christmas tree and fire place. The pictures will be framed and residents can give them to their loved one as Christmas gifts. Wanda came in on her day off and curled all the ladies hair so they would be all looking their best for the pictures. This is not the first time Wanda has volunteered her time this way. During Covid when we had to shut down hair salons in our home, Wanda would come in on days off and do the ladies hair. Wanda noted the negative impact that not being able to have their hair done had on the ladies, it makes them feel better/happier. We are so happy Wanda is on our team here at Shiretown.
